Our Journey started on September 17,2009 when we flew to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to have a Tubal Reversal.Upon waking up from surgery I was devasted to learn my tubes were both able to be repaired however they were both left very short BUT to our suprise seven weeks later our prayers were answered.. We were pregnant!!! Over the next few weeks I was going to have my blood draws and everything seemed to be going great.Thanksgiving morning 2009 I woke up in alot of pain and it continued to get worse so we went to the ER. I was admitted and told the pregnancy was in my right tube. At 2am I was given the Metho shot and my pregnancy had ended. I was told to wait three months to try and concieve again in which we did in hopes of a healthy pregnancy next time. On Febuary 24, 2010 I was testing for ovulation and to my suprise discovered I was pregnant AGAIN!!! We went straight to the ER, had my bloodwork done and everything looked good. Went to the doctor the next day and began the protocol. My hcg was looking good and there was a sac in my uterus... OMG this is really going to work!!! March 10,2010 I wake up go to work and everything is fine. A few hours later out of no where I am in so much pain I fell to the floor and called Joel. He was there as quick as he could be and rushed me to the ER. I was given medicine for my pain and all the test began, I could not believe it our baby is in my left tube this time and it has ruputured. I am taken into surgery that night and our second baby is gone along with my left tube. The "sac" that was in my tube was a sudo sac. How is this happening to us Joel??? Will we ever have our child together? Will we both remain strong enough to continue on this journey? Yes we are! So sometime in mid summer 2010 we started looking into IVF. After months of research we decided to give it a try. Our first trip to Mexico was in October the travel back and forth from Houston to Matamoros was very hard. But I had my sights on the bigger picture my baby. So I didnt make it to transfer this time, unfortunately the embryos didnt get pass 2 cell stage. Once again it was devastating news. The doctor was so understanding he offered his services for free just pay for the meds. So we decided again in November to do it all over again. Which we did, the same outcome again. Heartache again then one day I was online looking at clincal trials in Texas. We found one only an hour drive away. That was definately better than the 6 1/2 hour drive to Mexico. So we decided again lets try it no cost to us. So January of 2011 we were able to do the IVF were we actually made it to Transfer!! The news was so good we had A+ embryos that was implanted into my uterus. We both said we gonna have the two angels that we lost previously due to the ectopics. But this too was short lived, I lost both of them on Valentine's Day. After this we both decided we were done trying. It was not meant to be. It put our marriage at a cross roads. We both were emotionally drained from the heartache of the miscarriages. We started to grow apart. After a few months on rocky road we started to both see what the effects of trying to concieve can do to a marriage. Things are now back to the way they were pre IVF. Now we have decided to try one last time. We both want a baby together. But not willing to risk our happiness that we have to gain something that may not happen. We are planning to start IVF again in July, and pray harder than ever that we will have a baby boy or girl to call our own.
